Sujan Sinha, a graduate with Honours in Geology from Presidency College Kolkata,currently settled in Mumbai with his family post his retirement from Shriram Housing as MD and CEO. He is a senior retail banker and consumer lending specialist ,served State Bank India in management grade before joining the private sector. His last assignment was as MD & CEO of Shriram Housing Finance Limited for last 7 Years.
Prior to that,from 2002 to 2010, he was one of the important members of the core retail banking senior management team of Axis Bank for setting up and heading the retail consumer lending business of the bank, including the retail mortgage business. He has deep experience and exposure to retail consumer lending, retail banking , mortgages, including MBS, ABS and other secondary market transactions. He has led the entire suite of the consumer and retail lending business of Axis Bank including ownership of Product, Policies, Processes, Compliance and Systems. He has set up the distribution channel for the bank on the consumer lending side, including being responsible for the senior management team recruitment. He was on the boards of leading NBFC representing Axis bank’s interests. He was actively involved in representing the bank for setting up first of the credit bureaus in India. His last assignment was with Shriram Housing Finance Limited, a subsidiary of the Shriram Group’s flagship company, Shriram City Union Finance Ltd., a company he helped establish in 2010. This company is making its presence felt in the affordable housing finance and mortgage space, especially in the Tier II and III geographies. In this short span of time Shriram Housing has been able to set up more than 100 physical customer touch-points spread across 17 states in India with more than 900 employees. In his career of 35 years in the banking and financial services industry, starting with a large PSU , working in private sectors banks , finance companies he has built and managed large portfolios of consumer lending handled business cycles effectively with least collateral damage to the loan portfolios built during his time .

He has worked with Axis Bank in Retail Consumer Loans across all functions for nearly a decade handling, business, credit, product at Regional, Zonal & National Level. Prior to this, he has worked in investment banking, corporate banking, consumer loans & housing loans.

Krishna has more than 30 years of experience with PSB as well as private sector banks in retail banking. He handled roles at all levels, across the geographies both in distribution and support functions with deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. His longest stint was with Axis Bank for about 14 years where he was Senior Vice President and National Head for Retail Channels when left.The later two assignments as COO-Chief Operating Officer for a Small Finance Bank and a Payments Bank provided rich exposure in setting up new banks, building policy, product and process compliant to regulation and for great customer experience.
